Thanksgiving is next week!!!
I am personally SO excited!!! I love this time of year. I love how it brings people together to celebrate the little things. It makes the great big world feel a bit smaller and warmer. It causes me to draw in to the promises of the Messiah who came as a small babe. It wraps me in a blanket of thankfulness. And it stirs up memories of seasons past and hope for seasons to come. The holidays are splendid!
As these days rapidly approach us, I desire to prepared and expectant– spiritually, emotionally, and practically.
- Spiritually by spending time every day with Jesus.
- Emotionally by preparing my heart to withstand bumps in the road and to still love well.
- Practically by staying organized in my holiday preparations.
My new Shop Small Series was created to help you (and me!) be prepared for the holidays in a practical sense. Over the next few weeks, these weekly posts will review several hand-picked small businesses that I recommend adding to your Christmas shopping list. It’s really a perfect combo to find Christmas gifts AND support small businesses (and therefore other families!)
Also, in early-December, I will publish a final post that will double as a Small Shop Gift Guide for YOU! In this guide, I will list the small shops that I have worked with and feel that I can support 100%. I know that I am not the only one who loves to “shop small,” but often ends up frustrated when sifting through all of the choices on Etsy!
This post is one of a small number of hand-selected sponsored posts. I hope you can believe me when I say that I will only ever suggest products or companies that I believe in 100%! In fact, in order to stay as authentic as possible, I have (and will continue) to filter offers based off of their relevance to me (AND you!) Occasionally, I may receive a free item in exchange for a honest review. Every option is mine and is not influenced by the company or free product. (Read more here.)
I have had so much fun making new “mommy friends” through this little series! Marissa, the lovely creator of The Della Rose Boutique is one of my favorite ladies! She is such an encouraging soul and she is REALLY good at what she does! Marissa is a mom to 4 little people. Her 3 oldest children are boys, so when Miss Eva Della Rose was born, she was the lucky recipient of all of her mommy’s creative talents! Marissa makes the most beautiful bows, headbands, and bibs! (Oh! And she just added a new “magic” wands to her shop! I love them!) Many of her pieces are made using up-cycled materials, and each piece is hand-crafted with care and love!
On top of her products being amazing in their own right, Marissa donates a dollar from every Della Rose Boutique sale to the International Justice Mission! IJM is a fantastic organization that has been tremendously effective in fighting modern slavery. I love that she uses her creative talents to change the world a little bit at a time!
So what are my thoughts on our hairpieces?
We received a floral felt headband and a vintage-style clip-on bow from The Della Rose Boutique. I could not be more happy with these pieces!
My daughter was bald for quite a while and even when she did have hair, she still needed “feminine” hair pieces because it was so short. I only wish I had had these accessories back then! I had so much trouble finding timeless hairpieces in the large chain stores. Our headband and bow are unlike any other hair accessories that I have ever seen. I highly recommend checking out Marissa’s shop! I know you won’t be disappointed!
Any of The Della Rose Boutique’s pieces would make fantastic stocking stuffers or gifts for Christmas; so I am excited to share that Marissa has kindly offered a discount code to all of my readers! To get 10% off of your purchase, enter HEART10 at the checkout page! That’s it! Also, be sure to give her a follow to hear about news and updates! ♥
